Just a few words about some of our cadets;

> excert from email from Bordie McCloskey's Wife Delia

Hi, all!

Just a note to let you know that Bordie had his 1st dialysis done at the dialysis center today.  It was a bit more than he had anticipated, and he felt weak and wrung out when he got through, but he has a good attitude and they say after a few more times he will really begin to feel better. He was at the center today from 11:00 until about 3:30.  Fortunately, he had basketball to watch on tv today - I told him after the tournament,  he'll have to watch the soaps & Jerry Springer (like he probably does at home when I'm not here)!  He will go on T-T-S for time being, hopefully to change at some point to M-W-F, which would allow him a little more flexibility for week-end travel.  He ate a good dinner tonight and has already headed for bed, but I think he's going to do just fine. Sometime in the near future, hopefully, they will put the fistula in his arm versus the one they put in his chest for now.  I don't know why, but I think the arm is the usual way.  We surely appreciate everyone's thoughts, calls, emails, cards & prayers.  Please keep them coming - especially the prayers!

Love to all,

Delia

>Tried again to get in touch with Salem, he has registered for the reunion but I have not been able to get in touch with him to find out about his health.

>Spoke with Myrtle Beach cadet a Robert Asire a few weeks ago he was headed up to Virginia, he is awaiting a lung transplant.

>Spoke with John Myers of Rockingham NC, he has been undergoing treatment for Cancer and Brain turmors. He is almost finished with his Kemo and has finished radition for the brain turmors and his doctors said this week that his brain scans are looking good.  Please send John your prayers good wishes by clicking on the link below.

I plan to use this space in the newsletter to keep everyone up-to-date with our cadets but I can not do it without news and emails from you.  If you have information about the health or life changes of any of our cadets or faculty or family members please let me hear from you at rjennings2553@gmail.com
Reunion Planning

Hello everyone, just wanted to brief you on a few things about the CMA 2011 Annual Reunion. First of all if you have not already signed up please click on the red button below and do so A.S.A.P.  We only have 12 cadets signed up so far, this totals to 20 people including spouses.  In order to see who has signed up go to the Cadets Profile page and in the legend box at the top of the page click on "Attending Reunion" link.  This will only give you the cadets and not the total number of guest attending.  A few reasons why this number is important, Two of the events that we have scheduled require 20 persons to attend to get the discounted rate.  These 2 events are the "Rio Steakhouse" dinner and the "Legends in Concert" show.  We only have 4 people signed up for "Rioz" and 7 for "Legends so far.  I am asking Randy to put a page up on our website that show how many people have signed up for the different events, He will update this page and put a date on it so that you know the status each week.  If we do not have the minimum signed up by April 14, 2011 we will have to cancel that event, you would still be able to attend but at the regular rate.

Remember that date - April 14, 2011.  That is also the date that the hotel takes our block of 25 rooms away if they are not rented.  This is important because we moved our reunion in to May so that we would have warm weather, this is a very popular time at the beach and if you don't get your rooms by that date you may miss out.  The hotel will try to accommodate you but at the prevailing rate which is considerable higher that we are paying.

The CMA Reunion signup registration and order form is working very well, we have had only 2 people sign up by paper registration form and most everyone is using the credit card option. The one glitch we have had is when cadets go into their cadet profile and click on the "Attending Reunion" button. That button is not used to signup so please do not click on that button.  We can disable the choice but we really do no want to do that because then you would not be able to click on the "Attending Reunion" link in the legend box as described above to find out who is attending the reunion.

Thanks

CMA 2011 Annual Reunion - Myrtle Beach SC May 13, 14, 15, 2011

Just a few words to say about the reunion, I want to reiterate what Mike said above,  we have moved our reunion into
the prime season in Myrtle Beach, in doing so we will not be able to hold rooms till the last minute like we have in the past.  If you need rooms for the reunion, please, please get them before April 14, 2011 that is the cut off date.  There may be rooms available after that but your room grantee of the $59.00 dollar rate will not apply.  We also must have a minimum of 20 persons to signup for the Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse dinner and the Legends In Concert Show.  If we do not have your order in by 14 April 2011 we will not be able to grantee the discount prices stated on our website.  that is a little over 3 weeks away so get you order in today.  If you have any trouble at all with the website or with hotel reservation please give me a call or an email.  Click on the link below to get hotel and reunion information and to sign up for the reunion.
