Dinner With A Cadet
On Friday night, Aug 13, 2010 Patsy and I along with Mike & Sherri Davis had the pleasure of having dinner with CMA 1962/63/64 Cadet Benny Weathers at Rey's In Raleigh NC. We were in town for the Raleigh Reunion and thought it would be a good time to see Benny and talk over old times. Benny's wife Laura was out of town and not able to join us for dinner. We arrived early and Benny had us a private dinning room and when he arrived he was dressed in a beautiful sport coat and tie, as you may know Benny owns a couple of Topless Bars in the Raleigh Area and he had been out interviewing dancers for his clubs. He seemed really excited about few dancers that he had hired and invited us to stop by his clubs while we were in town an take a look.
Of course we could not do that because of our commitment to the Alumni Association, we did not think that the membership would approve of us visiting that type of place since we were in town on association business.
We had a very nice meal, took a few photos (below) and swapped a few good CMA stories with Benny and then said good night. We really enjoyed our time with Benny, I am sure all or our classmates would be proud of him and his accomplishments.
